Refund Policy

Please see your membership agreement for our refund policy. The policy in force is reproduced in full below; where the two differ, your signed agreement governs.

General Refund Policy (applicable to all Contracts)

(1) IF YOU DECIDE YOU DO NOT WISH TO REMAIN A MEMBER OF IRON LAIR, YOU MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT BY MAILING TO IRON LAIR, BY MIDNIGHT OF THE THIRD BUSINESS DAY AFTER THE DAY YOU SIGN THIS CONTRACT, A NOTICE STATING YOUR DESIRE TO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT. THE WRITTEN NOTICE MUST BE MAILED BY FIRST CLASS MAIL TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS: Arete Athlos LLC, Attn: CORPORATE SALES CANCELLATIONS, 3424 W. Carson Street, Suite 380, Torrance, CA 90503. A $50.00 day pass fee will be deducted from any refund due for each day you made actual use of the facility.

(2) IF IRON LAIR GOES OUT OF BUSINESS AND DOES NOT PROVIDE FACILITIES WITHIN 10 MILES OF THE FACILITY IN WHICH YOU ARE ENROLLED OR IF IRON LAIR MOVES MORE THAN 10 MILES FROM THE FACILITY IN WHICH YOU ARE ENROLLED, YOU MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT BY MAILING, BY CERTIFIED MAIL, A WRITTEN NOTICE STATING YOUR DESIRE TO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT, ACCOMPANIED BY PROOF OF PAYMENT ON THE CONTRACT TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS: Arete Athlos LLC, Attn: CORPORATE SALES CANCELLATIONS, 3424 W. Carson Street, Suite 380, Torrance, CA 90503.

(3) IF YOU DIE OR BECOME TOTALLY AND PERMANENTLY DISABLED AFTER THE DATE THIS CONTRACT TAKES EFFECT, YOU OR YOUR ESTATE MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT AND RECEIVE A PARTIAL REFUND OF YOUR UNUSED MEMBERSHIP FEE BY MAILING A NOTICE TO IRON LAIR STATING YOUR DESIRE TO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT. IRON LAIR MAY REQUIRE PROOF OF DISABILITY OR DEATH. THE WRITTEN NOTICE MUST BE MAILED BY CERTIFIED MAIL TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS: Arete Athlos LLC, Attn: CORPORATE SALES CANCELLATIONS, 3424 W. Carson Street, Suite 380, Torrance, CA 90503.

For Monthly on Contract (Year Commitment)

This agreement is for a one-year term and is non-cancellable. This agreement is for a one-year minimum term beginning on your membership Start Date. After the completion of the one-year term, this agreement shall automatically renew for an additional one-year term unless at least 30 days before the completion of the term, the Member gives written notice to Iron Lair of the member's desire to cancel their membership. Said notice, to be effective, must be either hand-delivered to the General Manager at the club during normal business hours or mailed First Class, postage prepaid, to Corporate Headquarters at 3424 W. Carson St, Suite 380, Torrance, California 90503.

This agreement cannot be cancelled before the expiration of the one-year term and must include the 30-day notice period as described above. If there are extenuating circumstances, then upon application to management, management will consider cancelling your membership on a case-by-case basis. The granting of a cancellation by management is completely within the discretion of Iron Lair management. Extenuating circumstances may include: moving out of the area, military deployment, the loss of income or employment, or medical issues. Management may require written evidence of the extenuating circumstances to be provided by the member before considering the case. Regardless of the reason for cancellation, Member agrees to pay a cancellation fee equivalent to $100.00 plus one month's membership fee, in addition to any fees already paid.

For Month-to-Month Contracts:

Term of Agreement: This agreement is month-to-month and may be cancelled at any time. At any time, the Member may give written notice of cancellation to Iron Lair. Said notice, to be effective, must be either hand-delivered to the General Manager at the Club during normal business hours or mailed First Class, postage prepaid, to Corporate Headquarters at 3424 W. Carson St, Suite 380, Torrance, California 90503. Notice will be effective upon receipt (the Cancellation Date).

Cancellation: Cancellation will occur immediately on the Cancellation Date, and Iron Lair will immediately cancel any recurring charges. On the Cancellation Date, the Member will lose all member privileges and access to the Club. Any funds paid to Iron Lair before the Cancellation Date, including, but not limited to, the current month's membership fee, administrative fees, maintenance fees, prepaid classes, and prepaid training fees, are non-refundable.

For Term Contracts Paid Up Front:

These agreements are for the term of the contract (e.g. 1 month, 3 months or 1 – Year) and are non-cancellable and nonrefundable.
