Gym Photos — Athlos Iron Lair, Torrance
Twenty-five photographs of the actual room at 22715 Hawthorne Blvd, Unit B — the floor, the machines, the racks and platforms, and the outdoor strength zone. No stock photography and no other gym.
The main floor
Athlos Iron Lair is 17,500 square feet on a single storey. The wide shots below are the length of the room: machines and benches under the ceiling fans, cable stations and flat benches, cardio running along one side, and a quiet stretching and warm-up area against the dark walls. It is lit properly and cleaned through the day rather than after closing, which is most of what the wide shots are actually showing you.
Plate-loaded machines
The machine lines are Arsenal Strength, Hammer Strength and Gym 80, with Precor, Hansu and Rodgers frames alongside them. Plate-loaded rather than selectorised, which is why you will see barbell plates stacked on the uprights rather than a pin and a stack. Seven of these machines have a short demo clip filmed on the machine itself — those are onthe equipment page.
Free weights, racks and platforms
Squat racks and benches down one side of the floor, dumbbells, and a dedicated deadlift platform with bumper plates. If you have trained somewhere that keeps one platform behind a class timetable, this is the part of the room worth looking at closely.
The outdoor strength zone
The outdoor area is turf under shade sails, with plate-loaded machines, a sled track and tyres, and it is lit for training after dark. It is open the same hours as the rest of the building — 24-hour access Monday to Friday, and 6am to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday — so the night shots below are a normal session rather than an event.
The front of house
Members get a private posing room, full showers and proper changing facilities. Those are not photographed here; what is, is the merchandise wall by the desk.
Photographs only tell you so much
What a picture cannot show you is how busy the floor is at the hour you would actually train, which is the thing most people are really asking. That is what the tour is for: a walk round with a membership specialist at a time you choose, and a training pass to use the room yourself.
